When owners of Keystone Concrete Placement attended the World of Concrete Convention in Las Vegas in February, they received a Golden Trowel Award along with a world record for the flattest and most level floor of the year in the category defined traffic narrow strip.

“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment,” said Brad Stewart,  Keystone Concrete Placement.

The measurements were certified by The FACE Company, the developer of the F-Number System. The project selected for these measurements was the Spring ISD Child Nutrition & Warehouse facility in Houston.

Keystone also has an office in Georgetown, which is managed by    Brad Stewart.   Brad gained his interest in the company from his father Don, who is the president of the company. His brothers Craig and Mark manage the Houston division of the company. It is truly a family run business specializing in commercial, residential, and structural concrete projects.

Much of their residential work in Central Texas has been on one of the largest retirement communities, Sun City, which is located in Georgetown. This is initially what brought Keystone to the Austin area. Based in Houston at the time, Brad was the only one who wasn’t married and volunteered to start the Georgetown office.

In addition to Keystone’s recent accomplishment and world record, they are also proud to play an active role in the communities they serve. The Company’s name can be found  on the baseball fields as sponsors and they also are proud to help out with causes such as Habitat for Humanity. They say they have an attachment to Georgetown, both through their involvement in the community and the project they have spent several years on. With the constant growth, they say the community is known as one of the largest ongoing construction projects in Texas.

“We love Georgetown. There are people in Houston who now wish that they had come over here,” Brad Stewart said. “We have enjoyed being a part of the growth here in Georgetown” . –km
