Wonders of Christmas
Almost 700 participants arrived at the Alzafar Shrine Temple to find giant snowflakes adorning white draped walls, and tables clothed in white and ice blue for the festive occasion.
On a cold winter night, the construction industry guests raised a heartwarming $25,000-plus for the foster children in Bexar to have a merry Christmas.
Proceeds from silent and live auctions, raffles and balloon prizes were used to purchase gifts and gift cards for the children. In addition, guests brought more than 500 unwrapped toys to the event, which were delivered to the Construct A Kid’s Toy Drive Dec. 4.
The evening also featured a dinner buffet and dessert bar, music, dancing and casino games. –kf
