DALLAS - Nearly 300 humans did their best hyena impersonation as six brave souls from the Dallas, Austin and Houston offices of SpawMaxwell a Balfour Beatty company flaunted their comedic timing at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub in Dallas Feb. 18.

Dallas office vice president and general manager Tom Rowland says the event, held for the past four–and-a-half years, has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars for the various charities the company supports. Rowland said he hoped this year’s Dallas show would raise $25,000 for Our Friends Place while giving the company a chance do good while having a good time.

“It’s just a great opportunity for us to get together and do something away from business,” he says. “Here we are, a bunch of construction workers putting on a show like this, which comes off quite well. It’s just amazing to see everyone’s surprise.”
