HOUSTON – President Al Torres founded TPI Painting Inc. in 1983. The company is now known as TPI Inc.

Jared Wells is the chief of operations and Adrienne Parker is the office manager.

“In the beginning, the company did mainly painting projects and as time went on, we began to do quite a bit more renovation and construction work,” Wells said.

“After Hurricane Ike, there were many out of state companies that came in, got contracts and didn’t follow through.  People were desperate to get work done, so we got a lot of work from that.”

Wells says he has been employed at the company for six years.  He meets with customers and runs jobs.

“I go to new locations almost everyday,” he said.  “It is really nice to be able to get out and about.  My favorite part of the job is to see a lot of jobs through completion.

“I am always doing construction but there are always different tasks and challenges.”

According to Wells, the employees at TPI enjoy a barbecue every year during the holidays.

“Al loves basketball and likes watching the Houston Rockets play,” Wells said.  “He also coaches a local Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball team.

“I enjoy spending time with my family.  I travel to San Antonio and my family and I go to the zoo or SeaWorld.  The Alamo City has excellent restaurants.

“Adrienne also hangs out with her family.  She loves dogs and currently has four.”

TPI Inc. provides interior and exterior painting, renovations and construction services for apartment communities.  –ab
