“We’ve known each other for 20-plus years,” stated Kezar. Having previously worked together at another local geotechnical firm, they know each other’s strengths and abilities within the industry.

Recognizing it may seem strange to begin a company in a depressed economy, they strongly believe it is just the right time to offer their services given their knowledge of the area.

“Our group has over 60 years of combined experience,” said O’Connor. “We’re experts with local conditions within the Central Texas area.”

Besides the customary services offered by geotechnical firms, O’Connor states they offer special inspection services required by the City of San Antonio, which ensures hands-on quality control.

Having worked in the industry a long time, Kezar acknowledged the importance of a person’s reputation. “We build relationships with our clients based on trust and that in turn builds friendships,” he said.

O’Connor agrees, “Our clients know we get them what they need when they need it.”

 Since February, both have had little time to relax and enjoy their hobbies. Kezar owns a small ranch in Rocksprings, TX, where he raises exotic and whitetail deer. Also, he likes to tinker with hot rod cars and enjoys restoring a ’68 Ford Bronco.

Ever since living in Corpus Christi during the 1980s and 1990s, O’Connor enjoys coast fishing. He is able to get a little fishing in when he visits his family who still lives in the Corpus area.

In addition to fishing, O’Connor builds and flies radio-controlled airplanes and rides both a Kawasaki dirt bike and a Suzuki Boulevard Cruiser.
