SAN ANTONIO – There’s a new company in town and from president Barbara Roberts perspective that means taking care of her customers and lots of hard work, but having some fun too.

Big City Access, Inc. started in Houston eight years ago and has set up shop in the Alamo City.

“About six months ago, when business was slowing down in Houston, we decided San Antonio was a good place to come because we have a lot of customers here,” said Roberts.

“We have a great customer base in Houston and we take pride in taking care of our customers through our service. We have a great reputation and we are bringing that here to the San Antonio and Austin area.

“We wanted to find a place where we could also service Austin so we chose Universal City and found a beautiful building,” continued Roberts.

The company provides frame and system scaffolding, swing stages, overhead protection, trash chutes and material hoists primarily for rental. They also have the labor for set up and tear down and safety training for all the equipment they carry.

The company is stocking the new warehouse with equipment, already has jobs going on and is sending out more equipment to customers daily.

Roberts is currently running the new office until she hires a permanent person for the position.  Help with this is coming from James Evanicky the company’s sales manager.

The fun part is the annual Open House Crawfish Boil event they are gearing up for San Antonio. The 8th Annual event for the Houston office happened in June and they expect the Boil will become a large event here as well. –bd
