HOUSTON – Bigge Crane and Rigging (Bigge) has recently opened its Gulf Coast headquarters on Jersey Shore Drive in Houston.

Mike Fisher is the service technician, Mike Tilghman is a salesman and T.J. Carden oversees operations.  Carden says the company is off to a good start in 2011.  “We are excited to be here!” he said.

According to Joe Nelms, vice president of sales and marketing, the new headquarters will offer crane rental in Houston as well as heavy rigging throughout Texas and the South.

“Bigge’s newest location is ideally situated to service the Houston petrochemical markets as well as the growing industrial and wind power sectors in the region,” Nelms said.  “The location will also serve as an anchor location for international crane sales through the Port of Houston.”

Nelms says Bigge currently has a rental fleet available including crawler, tower and rough terrain cranes, along with man and material hoists.

“Bigge has its own rental and sales staff,” he said.  “Bigge intends to develop the Houston location into a second worldwide hub for crane sales.
“Adding to our fleet and moving to this new complex will help us satisfy the demand not just for crane rental, but for heavy transportation and crane sales as well.”

Amie Tomasello, marketing representative, says in March, Bigge will be participating in the CONEXPO, an international gathering for the construction industry, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.

Bigge is a crane sales and crane rental company with locations in seven states including California, Utah, Washington, Arizona, Texas, South Carolina and Virginia. –ab
