FORT WORTH – AWC, Inc. based in Baton Rouge, LA., has opened their second location serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Located at 301 North Beach Street in Fort Worth, this becomes the 23rd location for the company spread across seven states and the ninth serving Texas.

Fort Worth branch manager Larry Hencke told Construction News the new branch officially opened Feb. 1.

“Our new facility is 20,000sf in size including offices and warehouse and at present we have nine employees at this location,” said Hencke.

“We are an electrical supply house and we specialize in instrumentation and automation.

“This is a brand new start-up branch for us and was a logical step for us to take care of customers in the Metroplex. Our focus will be the electrical contactors.”

Although no date had been set by press time, the company plans a grand opening in the near future.

AWC, Inc. has been in business since 1965 beginning as Alford, Woods, and Childs Engineering Company, Inc., The company is 100% employee owned and has over 300 employees. –bd
